Thoughts while reading:
-What can be uncomfortable when changing the angle of vision?
-The sociologist mainly looks at the world we live in, or institutions, history, and passions and isn’t afraid to cross the boundary for answers.
-sometimes when sociologists try to answer questions in specific instances they deal with other subjects such as economic and political matters but will deal with them differently than the economic or the political scientist.
-I found it quite fascinating how you’re looking at certain things with the the lens of a sociologist things are not what they seem to really be and have many layers of meaning
-The experience of sociological discovery could be described as “culture shock”
-The “world-taken-for-granted” should stay away from sociology
-Who or what are the “world-taken-for-granted” ?
